Getting to North Wales depends on your starting point and preferred mode of transportation. Here are some tips on how to travel to North Wales: 

Driving is the most flexible and convenient way to explore North Wales, especially when reaching rural areas.  

  1. From London: Take the M40 to the M6, then the M56 and A55 expressway to Conwy, Llandudno, or Anglesey. Journey time: Approximately 4–5 hours. 
  2. From Birmingham: Take the M54, then A5 towards Snowdonia or A55 for coastal towns. Journey time: Around 2–3 hours. 
  3. From Manchester/Liverpool: Take the M56 and A55 expressway into North Wales. Journey time: 1–2 hours. 
  4. From Scotland: Take the M6 south to the M56, then the A55 into North Wales. Journey time from Edinburgh or Glasgow: Around 5–6 hours.
